The Indiana State Sanatorium is creating an artist/maker centric vendor location at our property east of Rockville on US 36. The space is located in the historic Indiana State Sanatorium Dairy Barn. which is currently undergoing major renovations and will be fully climate controlled when complete. Indoor public restrooms (some with showers), a full commercial kitchen and optional RV camper hookups (water/electric) round out the amenities.
Indoor space for approximately 60 vendors with free high speed, private internet connections and electricity service at each 10×8 booth. The site will have over 10 acres of free parking for visitors. Full-time overnight security will be provided. The site is getting a complete overhaul, while maintaining its historic grandeur.
A new hickory floor is being installed in the upstairs area, while a new stamped concrete floor is going in the ground floor.
We currently are taking reservations for 2022 and beyond . Paying for a spot is not a guarantee that you will get it in. The site is exclusively for artist and makers who are selling their own creations. This will be judged and enforced by the Indiana State Sanatorium staff. We realize the site is not yet complete. Therefore all reservations will be fully refundable at any time. To encourage people to invest in this new site, we are offering a 50% discount on any vendor space reserved before the end of this year’s Covered Bridge Festival. Any reservation before the end of 2021 will be eligible for a 33% discount. Up to 3 years of space may be reserved at these discounts.
We will also have a limited number of RV (water/electric) hookups at the site. The people who reserve early will have priority access to these .
