Sony Online Entertainment reveals EverQuest Next

EverQuest is one of the longest standing series of MMO's, and it doesn't plan on giving up soon either. This weekend at Fan Faire, Sony Online Entertainment announced the next title in the series, cleverly named EverQuest Next.

We don't know much yet, of course, but there are two in-game art pieces available, and a few hints from the president of SEO, John Smedley. He says that the game will be based around EverQuest 1, rather than the second part of the series. It won't be a remake, but a more consistent game with better combat, more personality created by stylized art and surprisingly, a storyline where you won't have to just sit through walls of text from NPC's.

Remember when I said that the pictures are in-game art? Well, they really are in-game, not just drawn art, so we can actually see here what sort of stylized look SEO is going for.
