$50,000 For A NES. Suck On That Economic Crisis!
Let's say you're in over your head with the mortgage, bills and shit and you really need some money. But you don't have anything of value to sell, except maybe... that old NES down in the basement. The next logical step is putting it out on Ebay at the staggering price of $35,000 and wait for some sucker to take the bait and make you rich. Ronald3868 did this, and much to our surprise and presumably his, he got $15,000 more than he asked for!
Let's stop for a second and meditate over this: you find a 20 year old device in your house, make it sound like it's "your most prized possession" (how much geeky-er can you cat by the way?) and get filthy rich by selling it on the internet. I think this is a lesson for us all to never, ever, underestimate the human stupidity.

You’ve got to be sh*tting me. $50K for an old NES? I’ve probably got a couple in the closet! Wish I could find someone that gullible. But the question is, did he actually get paid for it or did he just do it as a stunt to get publicity for something?

Well, I’m sure its just a publicity stunt. But if you would plug any of those in, you would be surprised how entertaining those games still are. The only thing that comes close are the simple flash arcade games, the best games being easily the ones that can be finished within an hour. I miss the old NES days…
